這幾天班裡要大家報名去黨校，我朋友想寫入黨申請書。我跟她說：『這一進去你一輩子就交給它了，你可要想好了！咱們才十幾歲，好多事情都不瞭解，連馬克思理論、共產黨宣言都沒看完呢∙∙∙』第二天早上，她就謹慎對待了∙∙∙黨校有十個名額，雖說寧缺毋濫，可現在還沒報滿，團支書很著急～In Mainland China controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Party School starts as early as the age of senior high school. Aimed at young Communist League members and other willing students, the Party School educates its students to realize the glorious history of the Party in both revolution and reconstruction time, and to accept the Party’s basic values and ideology. However, from my perspective, it is not good to encourage students to make preparatory arrangements to join the Communist Party in such an early age. We high school students have little chance to participate in Chinese politics, and therefore we are unable to truly understand the role CCP play in our society. Besides, teenagers tend to follow their peers, especially when the peers are seen ‘excel’, not realizing it as an serious, personal, political choice. What is more, the restriction of press freedom limits us from various information and comments of the Communist Party, which will end up causing bias towards or against it.
